For example, our inspectors must:
· Work exclusively for
the customer.
·
Follow nationally accepted standards of practice.
·
Not perform repairs on any home inspected.
Our inspectors are trained to be familiar with
a wide variety of situations. We believe that consumers have the
right to expect the highest standards of thoroughness, fairness and
effectiveness from their home inspector.
All of our inspection reports must be authentic and stand up to
critical examination. We continue to build our reputation, one
inspection at a time, to ensure you get the quality service you
expect from us.
Is a “FREE” energy audit really free?
We all
know there is no such thing as a free lunch.
So when a contractor offers a free energy audit, ask yourself
“What do they really want?”
Is it to sell insulation, radiant barrier installation, new
windows, a new air conditioner or in Georgia Power’s case to avoid
having to build new plants.
Do they assess all areas of the home – even those completely
unrelated to the product they are selling?
Are any of these providers focused on giving you, the
homeowner, accurate, information to make an unbiased decision on
whether to invest in energy improvements or not?
That’s what we do!! We audit all aspects of your home, to evaluate
energy conservation opportunities.
We provide rough savings estimates, and a scope of work to
proceed with the next steps.
If you desire, we provide project management services to
request quotes, evaluate contractors, even manage the entire job.
We have been trained and certified by Building Performance Institue
(BPI).
BPI is the nation's premier standards development and credentialing
organization for residential energy efficiency retrofit work.
We are certified as Building Analysts
and have the equipment to conduct
diagnostic testing for building leakage, draft effectiveness on
combustion (gas, propane, oil) appliances, and a digital thermal
camera to “see” hot or cold spots in your walls.
Service at a Fair Price
Having worked with construction companies for 30+ years, in
an industrial environment, I understand they want fast response,
professional work with minimal oversight, at a fair price.
I strive to offer that on every job. I get to my
Contactor's jobs at the earliest possible appointment, sometimes
the same day. I am Building Performance Institute -
Building Analyst certified which is a step beyond the one day
DET training required to become a DET verifier. I try to
educate contractors when they have questions about what is
needed to pass duct and building infiltration tests. At
the same time, I strive to have a good working relationship with
local inspectors to minimize any issues. My price is fair
as evidenced by the recent reduction versus the "going" rate
locally.
In additon to blower door and duct blaster testing, I am
offering a new service to provide Manual J calculations.
Some of my mid and smaller size clients have requested this
service so they can spent more time in the field selling jobs
and managing their crews. I have the software, the
education, and the concurrence of the Georgia Conditioned Air
Licensing Board.
Lastly, I am a true third party tester. No one wants
to have competitors come in and judge their work. I test
your work fairly and objectively versus the code requirement.
If the system does not pass, I try to help you find the problem.
Give us a call, and let's start a long term, successful
business relationship.
